Internetting: Tabletop concert

Here’s a simple formula for awesomeness: get your talented band around the kitchen table, set up a camera, and perform with only your voices and some cottage cheese containers. Those are European cottage cheese containers, right? I think I read that somewhere.

Why do I love these so much? Besides the fact that they are objectively really great, I think it’s related to this theory I’m working on–that we all, in this modern world over-saturated with technology that makes the most incredible things seem possible, are desperate to be awed by something unbelievably real.

These ladies and dudes are really talented. No autotune, no producing, no fancy instruments even. Just real awesome.

Erato: Call Your Girlfriend

These Swedish ladies are so pretty and their voices are perfect together. Plus, concentration! I consider this the original cup song before it started annoying me.

Check out their cuppy Swedish minor-keyed modular-tastic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer which pretty much encapsulates my complicated feelings about Christmas happening just around the corner.

Some Swedish fisherman: Kiss From a Rose

Ok, not really fisherman. A Swedish latin music band (because why not?) called Solala. Which is a music pun. A PUN! They’re so dang cute. I’m starting to wonder if all Nordic types use their dining tables for actual eating times.

Rakede: Bitte Bitte

I have no idea what’s going on here but I’m totally into it. That guy is saying a lot of words. Don’t even turn on the captions, it’s way more fun to just watch their expressions. Bonus points for creative use of balloons.

Bonus!! Bottle Guys: Under the Sea

Played from inside a pool. On glass bottles. As it was always intended.
