A costumed life

I was wondering, after this year’s round of Halloween parties and subsequent photos, how many years of Halloween pictures could I collect?

19. 19 years out of 27…but some years included more than one costume, so there are in fact 21 different costumes represented. THAT’S SO MANY! You could tell a story with that many pictures…

• Once upon a time..

• She was a cute little munchkin of a princess,

• ...and a creepy duck mask.

  To strike fear into the hearts of her people. Should they need to have fear struck into them, therein.

• The animals pledged their loyalty unto her,

  as they felt a peculiar kinship with her on which they couldn't quite place a paw.

• She could be pious as a Quaker,

• and pure as the white snow,

• and when she stepped out with questionable characters

  she always wore a mask. Because you never know who's going to see you, even in THIS part of the living room.

• And in her rebellious teenage years,

  (which even princesses can't avoid), she took comfort in friends who would stand by her side...

• ...and play becostumed piano duets with her...

• ...and get caught up in historically-accurate

• She was a gangster

• She tried running away from the world

• She tried flying around it--

  and as she crossed the horizon--

• she met a man in disguise,

  who saw the wonders of the world as she did, and appreciated her sense of humor.

• He fit her exactly, in fact.

• So well that they had a little alien together.
